Basic Features
 Q. What is Captain's Keeper?
 A. Captain's Keeper is an Aviators logbook designed for the Palm OS® organizer.

 Q. Is there a PC version of Captain's Keeper to supplement the Palm OS™ version?
 A. Yes. The Captain's Keeper Suite includes a PC Desktop application.

 Q. Will the new Windows software run in Windows XP?
 A. Yes.

 Q. Is there a way to print out the logbook from the PC?
 A. Yes. Captain's Keeper for Windows provides a number of printable reports.

 Q.What time formats does Captain's Keeper accept?
 A. Captain's Keeper for Palm logs time in either decimal ( 2.6 ) or hours:minutes ( 2:36 ) format. This setting is universal and will affect all Captain's Keeper screens. The Windows application logs time in hours:minutes ( 2:36 ) format only. We intend to add decimal input as soon as time permits.

 Q.If I only have the Palm OS™ software will my logbook still get backed up?
 A. Yes. Every time you Hotsync your Palm OS™ device, Captain's Keeper is backed up to your Desktop computer.

 Q.Is there a version for Windows Mobile, Pocket PC or the MAC?
 A. No. Not at this time. Palm OS PDAs only and Windows desktop PCs. Captains Keeper will not run NATIVELY on any other PDAs such as Windows Mobile or PPCs. However it can be run under EMULATION with StyleTap on these devices. The desktop commponent will not run on a Apple MAC.

Registered Users
 Q. I am a Registered user, entitled to a Free upgrade. Where do I get the Registered software?
 A. Simply fill out the Download request form and download Captain's Keeper from the address that is emailed to you. There is no difference between the the trial and registered versions once your registration details have been entered.

 Q. As a Registered User do I need a new Registration Number to activate version 4.0?
 A. Yes. Email your details to Support@nimblefeet.com and we will send you a new code.

 Q. Will my Captain's Keeper v2.2 logbook open automatically in version 4.0?
 A. No. We will convert your previous logbook for you. Send us a copy of the data file. It is called "CKW_Data.mdb" and it lives in the "C:\Program Files\NimbleFeet\CK_Suite" folder. Attach it to an email and send it to conversions@nimblefeet.com
We will then convert the data to the new format and return it to you.

 Q. Will installing Captain's Keeper v4.0 overwrite previous version of Captains Keeper that I have on my Palm OS™ device?
 A. No. Version 4.0 is totally independent of all previous versions. They do not interact in any way and will run side by side.

 Q. Can I sync the new Captain's Keeper v4.0 for Palm with the older Captain's Keeper v2.2 for Windows while I wait for the upgrade?
 A. No, they are not compatible in any way and will not Sync to each other.

 Q. How do I back up my Palm logbook if I am not running the windows desktop?
 A. It is backed up automatically every time you Hotsync your Palm OS device to the C:\Program Files\Palm\<username>\Backup folder. The following files are created and you can copy them all to another folder or a floppy disk for safe keeping if you wish.

Using Captains Keeper
 Q. Does Captain's Keeper allow you to log multiple Takeoff and Landings (Circuits and Bumps) or multiple instrument approaches in one flight?
 A. Yes.

 Q. Can I do searches for specific scenarios?
 A. A Flight Query screen is provided. It enables you to build powerful multi level searches.
Such as: When did I last do last do a night landing at airport "a" in aircraft "b" with co pilot "c"?

 Q. Can I do searches for time on a specific aircraft, etc?
 A. The Captain's Keeper for Palm v4.0 Aircraft details screen will report hours flown on aircraft types.

 Q. Does Captain's Keeper support VFS and memory cards?
 A. Yes and No. Captain's Keeper comprises of a program file and several database files. Currently the databases need to live in RAM using approximately 1kb per flight record. The program will happily reside on a memory card provided that you are using an application launcher that supports VFS. Captain's Keeper has been tested with Launcher III and found to be compatible.

 Q. Will the full version be in a box or can the whole thing be delivered electronically?
 A. Captain's Keeper will be delivered electronically. A boxed version is likely to appear in future when it will be sold through aviation supplies mail order catalogues.

 Q. How much does Captain's Keeper cost?
 A. The Captain's Keeper Suite costs US$ 79.95. This includes the following components and services:

 Q. Can the Palm OS and Windows components be purchased separately?
 A. No, Not at the present time..

 Q. What form of payment will you be able to accept? Most people will be interested in a secure electronic credit card transaction.
 A. All Payments for Captain's Keeper are processed via credit card through the well known and highly respected Kagi payment processing service.

 Q. Do you accept alternative payment methods that do not involve transmitting details over the Internet?
 A. We prefer purchase orders to be placed on-line via Kagi. However, if you really are averse to submitting credit card details via the net you can mail or telephone your order to Kagi. Please mail sales@nimblefeet.com for more information.

 Q. What is Nimblefeet Technologies refund policy?
 A. Captain's Keeper is Shareware and we provide a fully functional trial version for you to evaluate at no cost. You are expected to utilize this service and "Try before you Buy". In this way you can satisfy yourself that Captain's Keeper meets your needs. In exceptional circumstances we may refund within 30 days of purchase solely at our discretion.

 Q. What is Nimblefeet Technologies Upgrade policy?
 A. Our upgrade policy is to pass on minor upgrades and bug fixes to registered users at no cost. However when and if we provide new versions we will charge registered users for them. Registered user will not pay the full price but something less to take into account customer loyalty.

 Q. Is there a Windows CE or PPC version of Captain's Keeper?
 A. No. Nimblefeet Technologies does not currently produce a CE or PPC version of Captain's Keeper, however we plan to do so.

 Q. Is there a Macintosh version of Captain's Keeper to supplement the PalmOS version?
 A. No. not exactly. Captain's Keeper for Windows v4.0 has been tested and found to run satisfactorily under VPC.
